Project 4 Peace NGO complies with principles of good governance so that the Organization runs in a transparent, effective and efficient manner. 

The vision of the organisation is to reintegrate the unemployed youth, back into their communities as financially independent people, so they can take their rightful place in society.

OUR APPROACH

PROJECTS 4 PEACE NGO, is an organization that empowers the youth, and disadvantaged communities. Through education, small business development training, and assistance with business funding for new start-ups and SMMEs. We work hand in hand with communities to solve the triple challenges we face in South Africa, which is unemployment, inequality and poverty. We are a registered NGO that  has been operating since 2010, Non-Profit Charity Organization 2010 / 008186 / 08

— Our Story

Projects 4 Peace was founded by Steven Matheson in 2010, with the purpose of uplifting disadvantaged communities. Projects 4 Peace has grown from strength to strength over the years, having implemented various CSI projects that range from cleaning up communities with the set-up of recycling depots, business workshops, family fun days, painting of schools, and even the building of libraries.

Steven Matheson: Executive Chairman

Steven is the co-founder of Panorama Flea Market, which he started in 1991, and is situated off Klipriver Drive, Mulbarton, and is the largest and busiest flea market in the south of Johannesburg. With 400 stalls and live entertainment.  Steven also founded a property development company called Sinai Developments and has built over 1000 units within their portfolio.

His passion for entrepreneurship has been a cornerstone of his ethos for decades. He is a man of the people that dedicates himself to uplifting disadvantaged people and communities. Steven is the founder, and Executive Chairman of Projects 4 Peace NGO, which he started in 2010. The NGO has grown leaps and bounds, by implementing projects such as clean ups in Warmbaths as well as the set-up of a recycling plant.  Projects 4 Peace has painted schools in Soweto, and donated various much needed items to orphanages such as clothing and food. Projects 4 Peace also empowered young women in Soweto by starting a modelling agency,that provided many members of the community with the opportunity to enter the South African media Industry.

Tiro Mokoka: Executive Director

Tiro has completed his BComm Business Management degree with UNISA at the end of 2011. Tiro co-founded and managed Refithile Global(Pty)Ltd which is an IT solutions and consulting services company, that focuses on Asset tracking using RFID and GPS Solutions from March 2013 till December 2017.  Tiro previously worked in the investment banking sector as a Business Development Associate for Regiments Capital based in Houghton until Feb 2013; He also worked as an Accounts Manager( marketing) for Leboramano Marketing Solutions(Pty)Ltd until the beginning of 2011. Tiro has worked as an Events Co-ordinator for South African Breweries (SAB) in the Isando District till 2008, and lastly as a Marketing and Events Manager for Keliana Management (Pty)Ltd, which is a company that manages the Emoyeni Conference Center in Parktown.

Kristina Meyer: Executive Director

Kristina is an entrepreneur, with a strong passion for Art and Music. Krisitina has worked as a talent agent for numerous musical bandsnand artists. She is a qualified Photographer that worked with Reuters during the war in Iraq. She is versatile, and has also worked as a Showbiz Exec.
